This game won't even start. Advice/Tips?

I just downloaded this game. Even bought the Deluxe edition despite Bethesda's Tom Foolery. I already have a Bethesda account so I figured this game would be a breeze to start. I click play and nothing happens. I don't have a potato rig and My system doesn't crash. I even updated my 1080 so my drivers are up to date. I just click the play button it turns blue then goes back to The green play button again. I wish these companies would stop being greedy and foolish. All these hoops and programs you and your computer have to go through to run a product you paid for is ridiculous. Great Way to ruin the quarantine. If nobody can help me with this problem I will just refund since thats the only way these people learn.

mine will start but everything is magnified and even though I have all settings to ultra the resolution is very low

The PC community can coalesce and form a solution. It doesn't make sense that its not working for me. I was playing Red Dead in 4k. My theory is that boo boo launcher and its DRM.

Laptops are not suported, if you are trying it from one of those.

I've got the same issue and no I'm not using a laptop.

I think your assumption that it's due to a bad loader is correct, I get that ugly ID logo in my system tray when it's trying to start but it disappears after .5 seconds and asks me to start the game again.

laptops work. it runs fine on my acer nitro 5. but you guys are probably just missing a whole whack of windows redistributable packages and/or are rocking outdated drivers.

Yeah. The FAQ only says laptops aren't officially supported, but If they meet the requirements it will still work on them, which samiri doesn't seem to understand.

There's no excuse not to support other laptop hardware though. Upgrading laptops in general is expensive, especially decent gaming ones. We're talking up to £1000 or more here.

The laptop isnt supported is really meant for integrated graphics only laptops.

You able it run it on dedicated? It crashes if I try running on it. It runs fine on integrated but with ♥♥♥♥ performance.

I have the same problem. I spent $90 and 14 hours installing this game, I expect it to at least tell me why it's not going to run instead of this ♥♥♥♥.

I believe that it's definitely this ♥♥♥♥ idTechLauncher not working properly, can't even open it by itself outside of steam.
