Please patch the game to run on Laptops :)
I've tried compatibility options, Tried the Bethesda launcher's DRM-Free executable, Disabled the AMD graphics and left the NVIDIA on. I'm still getting the video memory error. I can get to just before the menu and it crashes.

My Laptop Specs are...

AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx
NVIDIA 1650 4GB
16GB 3200Mhz DDR4 Corsair RAM
512GB PCI NVME SSD
1TB HyperX SSD
Windows 10 Pro

I can play Doom 2016 with ease and I would expect the new game to work moderately well.

Im running this like a dream with a 1050ti. Did you download the new nvidia drivers?

Mine are:

intel Core i7 3630QM CPU

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX GPU with the latest available driver for it (clean install too)

32GB RAM

1.81 TB disk space

931 GB SSD

Windows 10 64 bit

My game doesn't launch at all and just stops running without even opening nor with any error message. NVIDIA haven't released an update for my driver in a year and trying to install the Doom Eternal ready one doesn't work because the installer says my hardware is incompatible with the new driver. I'm not wasting money on a new laptop because they are all too f.ucking expensive for the specs I need for decent gaming (i.e. I can't afford it and likely won't for a while) and I shouldn't HAVE to upgrade anyway: other games I am too low spec for like Shadow of the Tomb Raider run just fine so this one should too.

I did friend... Been through all the drivers, Even tried the fix where you install both AMD latest & NVIDIA latest to make sure Vulkan gets properly installed. I really hope this is fixed soon as I'm ill and can't sit at my Gaming Rig for long before getting back in bed with the Laptop.

I feel for you friend, PC gaming gets expensive and we should have the ability to tweak a game to work on our hardware. All this crashing gets really upsetting when you spend the money for the game new and can't play it :(

Thanks buddy. I'm thinking about playing this on Xbox and Switch until it gets patched for older hardware on PC.

No worries :) That sounds like a good idea mate, I wish i'd had a console to play it on... Finished the game on my Gaming Rig instead though... not as comfortable as laptop gaming in bed :D
runs just fine on my acer nitro 5.
i reccommend playing this on console if you can't run it.

Fixed it!!!! For AMD/NVIDIA users... Un-install any AMD drivers with DDU. Then reinstall the ASUS AMD Chipset Driver from the website. Hey presto... Doom Vulkan / Doom Eternal on Laptop :)

If you're getting the 'no physical devices' error when trying to start it up on a laptop with an integrated GPU and dedicated GPU, try disabling the integrated GPU Display Adaptor in Device Manager, then enabling it again. Quick and easy to do. I've got pretty much the same laptop specs, just an HDD instead of a second SSD.
Can't even launch. Only problem I can see with specs is 2.8 ghz.
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, 2801 Mhz, 4 Core
DOOM 2016 runs almost perfectly. nvidia graphics card is adequate and has most recent drivers. FFS what a let down. Too triggered to tinker with settings now. maybe tomorrow.

So you bought a game when you knew you didn't meet the system requirements...and still think it is the games fault?
