Is there a way to show FPS while game is running.
I've been looking in the options, but I don't see a way to show the FPS while going through the levels. This was possible in DOOM 2016. I wonder if I'm missing the location, or if this option doesn't exist.

You could always use the Steam overlay.

Steam - Settings - In Game - enable steam overlay, In Game FPS Counter - profit!

No, don't do that lol. Steam overlay specifically is destroying frame rate at the moment. Better to entirely disable it, as popups or FPS overlay will cause the bug.

Usually that's the right thing to do, though. I'll be patched eventually.

There should be an option in the in-game Video settings that lets you show the statistics while you're playing. DO NOT use Steam's counter, it makes this specific game's performance worse!

Where can I find a source on this? I've never disabled it because I don't experience any bugs.

Ah, so the option does not exist. Good to know. Also, thanks for the suggestion to use Steam Overlay.

Yes Doom Eternal indeed has it's own overlay in the game, the graphics menu.

I use the Geforce Experience FPS one for all my games.

I don't have the game, but this is what the in-game overlay apparently looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5Bp6N_Qkwo

In the built-in Video settings, there's an option called "Performance Metrics". That's what you are looking for.

I got the Afterburner overlay to show up in game (not just in menus) for me after enabling HDR.
