Could someone tell me what the the research is between the standard laser and standard grenade in the Alien research tree? It's locked by a campaign requirement. I'm pretty sure I completed all campaign requirements for the base game and dlc's except mega structures, thanks.

Between laser and gas grenade? It's the root gun.

Root Gun,Its from a side mission in DLC3
Goto to the map where you compress resin. around the south west there is a unique island where some dialogue will start.
On the island there is a dried up resin tree, fill up the tree with resin and Proceed
through the tunnel
