Is the modding scene gone?
I always check the Nexus to see what kind of modding scene a new game I'm playing has and it looks as though the modding scene with this game completely died in 2021. Has there been no new updates or did the modders move to a different site? I didn't check Moddb because Nexus usually has the most recent mods.

The game added Steam Workshop support.

I suspect that Nexus was used during early access.
The game was intergrated with steam workshop and mod.io so all the modders moved on to those
The modders are quite active on those

Well now I feel stupid. So many games started steering away from the Workshop that I completely forgot to check there first. Thanks for that. I plan on completing the campaign before I add any mods, but I have seen quite a few people recommend some QoL mods for playing the campaign. I'm not too far, so we'll see what I can find.
When looking for QOL mods, look at everything by ponomaryow.dmitry
The game's even get a built-in interface that will give you the list for Steam and mod.io mods available, handle the downloading and installation, etc. Makes it easy.

I'd recommend sticking to the "no mods" policy for at lest your first campaign completion. After that, you'll appreciate whatever you tweak with the mods you choose to use even more, and have a better idea of what you want to change and what you decided was fine once you were all the way through. ;)
