HDR Mode
I was curious if was possible to enable HDR on the PC version.

1. I edited Engine.ini file in folder:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\ScarletNexus\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\

2. Added the following lines and using FULLSCREEN MODE.

[SystemSettings]
r.HDR.EnableHDROutput=1
r.HDR.Display.OutputDevice=5
r.HDR.Display.ColorGamut=2

3. I have an LG CX and it appears to auto turn on HDR when I boot up the game now and colors look different. Not sure if is this the correct color values as I took that line from another UE4 game file editing called "Deliver us The moon" on PCGaming Wiki.

I give credit to that wiki for these lines found on that website:
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Deliver_Us_The_Moon#Video_settings

Additional HDR information for HDR on UE4:

Interesting, nice find.... It enables HDR for my Samsung as well.... Colors are way too dark for me with those settings though

If someone could set up proper HDR with this game using the ini file I would be all over it.

HDR on PS5 Version of the game still looks the best. Sadly the game is very expensive on consoles.

I just added those lines as a test and at first, the entire background from the Main Menu was black, not rendering. Switching from Borderless to Fullscreen restored it and the colors looked...right?

I will play around with it a bit more.

turn on hdr in windows and run borderless full screen = auto fake hdr.

that should be using your desktop color settings instead of taking full control and using its own.

When windows touches SDR content, bad things happen to the image imo. Windows 11 is going to have an actual thought out converter, but we'll just have to wait to see how it turns out. It will probably have the same effect as forcing a wider color gamut (ie: Not good).

windows 11 will have the exact same hdr handling as 21h2

Just a tip: If you simulate HDR with your monitor, turn off chromatic abberatoin because it will make trees look like they're made of shredded paper & plastic

You guys are aware that Special K HDR works perfectly fine, right? :P It's quite a bit more advanced than Windows AutoHDR.
