Albion Online; it's toxic, and if you don't like it, no refunds!

Hello,

I come to you with a story about a toxic game out on steam available for kids. This game gives a bully the ability to steal other peoples money, gang up with like minded players and bully the rest of players into submission. They not only promote this type of game play, they ENCOURAGE it. They try to keep the warnings ambiguous as possible so ignorant players won't know of the flaw until they've spent money on the game. This game is called Albion Online.

It's a free sandbox game that is much like Diablo. It's very addictive and includes a lot of ingame purchases. Unbeknownst to the consumer that there is no satisfaction guarantee and no possible way to get your money back. Especially once you've found out that people can rob this money and gear off your character when you go to play in medium to later dungeons.

This is exactly what happened to me. I reached out to support only to find out they encourage this behavior and could not refund my purchase. I asked if I could be escalated to a supervisor and they cut the conversation off there.

I have been bullied by their gamers and they stole all my stuff! Then their customer support supports the bullies and steals my money! I don't understand this treatment and I don't understand why a business would behave this way, why do they not champion the victim here? Why are they being a bully to me and possibly other players?

I find this game a toxic trap for gamers on steam. If you have children I would suggest keeping them away from the bullying included in this game because it's not only extreme but encouraged.

They could make a change in their full loot system or at least offer a refund, I mean really what's wrong with giving someone their money back because they didn't like your game? Nope. Not from Albion Online. They will troll you and make you feel powerless about it.

I've had the worst experience from them.I just want refund.

Damn right. Also if you're bored because single player games doesn't serve player interaction, you could always check up the forum for another player interaction

So to sum up, OP spent a bunch of cash on in-game swag, maybe he bought some gold from a shady third-party and then as a new player went straight to the PVP area, which literally warns you about PVP aka red zones and even allows you to disable entering them, and then lost all his swag.

No one forced you to play that game, no one forced you into the content and no one forced you to buy things or trade with users you should know better against trading with. That all ultimately falls on you.

You should of done your research first, but obviously you didn't. Now you had a bad experience and venting about it on steam off topic. I don't care as it isn't my problem, it is yours and yours alone.
