That logic is beyond flawed, you should be able to drop things off at the station without him needing to be there at all times.
I ran into this problem endgame when money didn't really impact me all; however, I can see this being a big problem for other playstyles that are of the hording nature. It needs fixing.
Also I think that small item trading that you can do is the completely RP feature, because the income you can get with that doesn't seem to be of any interest unless you TRY really hard, and there is no fun in that - you just learn what the average price is, then wait for cheaper offers, buy and wait for those who would buy at much higher price.
It's a really neat feature for RP, but the daily costs in the game are really low compared to Papers please, so it doesn't seem like you need to take any bribes or to get over with everything.
Maybe devs should add difficulty levels. Just making you earn less would make the game much more difficult. Imagine having to spend most of your in-game income only to have enough ammo and be able to pay daily and overhead wages.
Yeah that is not true at all. A full truck load of contraband will cover the bill ez pz. I usually pulled 600 plus out of contraband alone. That was with a combination of drugs, booze, and cigs. I can only imagine how much more a truck load of drugs or weapons could be. Then you throw in a truck load of prisoners on top of that and you're sitting at a damn fine payout of over a few grand. With the truck only costing 500 smackers that price of convenience is good stuff.
The kick in the nuts for me was when I tried to off load the rest of my contraband and buddy boy was still chilling at the outpost even after the nightly turn over came around. He is supposed to leave at 12am, which I am assuming is when you have to fork over the maintenance and paychecks out. He's broken, but like I said at least for me it wasn't that big of a deal. Now other play styles could be feeling a bigger burn from this. The devs should revisit this little mechanic.
As for the trading I agree it is pretty much only for RP at this point. You make ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trading when compared to contraband and slaves.
