Restore console commands/cheats part 2
So why have console commands been removed in favor of a microtransaction store? I enjoyed messing around with the console commands in my singleplayer game. This is just fishing for trouble.

What if something like your horse bugs out on you and you would just want to spawn another with console commands but... oh wait. Since they disabled console command "Cheats"... you can't do something like that anymore. Or maybe a quest item didn't spawn correctly and is unobtainable? I'll just spawn it with conso- wait that doesn't work anymore. I have been playing the Two Worlds series since day 1 of the original game.

Please. Restore the console commands.

EDIT: After speaking 1 on 1 with Raidor, i can confirm that the console commands are indeed coming back. Thank you so much.

EDIT 2: As of 6/17/2017, the console commands are back in.

EDIT 3: As of 6/19/2017, the command to enable cheats has changed to Cotcheats

Enable the console for singleplayer and flag the saves if the console has been used and don't support them, if they trigger unexpected bugs or behaviour.

Paying for DLC is one way to pay the developer for their work.

or has someone anything against that a developer makes some money?

Oh you slimy....
This convince me not very much. If nobody likes it, why people use it? And why we are thieving crooks?

Why people want to hack it where is the fun ? if you know to win the game easly where is the fun then??? ridiculus ..

These devs should be ashamed.
You must've missed Take 2 Interactive's removal of single player modding of GTA V.

But, you are right about this being an extremely stupid decision on the part of the publishers.

June is now known as "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Retarded Publisher Decision Month".

Because people have fun in their own ways, and a console is part of that? Some people get extra enjoyment out of a game by using cheats after beating it (I know I sure do).

I'm not sure why anyone should convince you to re-add a feature that's been in the game the entire time, removed only due to something like microtransactions, either. In my opinion it was foolish to remove it in the first place. It very much comes across as you controlling and limiting how people enjoy your game.

So you admit this is totally about making a few extra bucks at the cost of the overall user experience? This is outright insulting to your userbase, removing a useful feature in favor of paid garbage that does nothing for the overall experience.
Plenty of devs make money without forcing microtransactions into a game that's over half a decade old.

You guys are getting tons of flak on youtube/reddit.

Let's take a look shall we?

Two seperate threads about this issue. Both on the front page of reddit. Both highly upvoted with plenty of people upset over the removal of console commands.

You also have Jim Sterling calling you out on this. Which you know you may have messed up by doing so if he get's on your case. Video is here.

There are many bugs that still exist within the game. Hell i had a quest earlier today bug out because the damn mob fell out of the map. Normally, i would just kill him with the console and continue on playing but you removed that option. So now i have to reload a save, wait for it to load and pray to the nine that he doesn't fall through the map once again (which he usually does!).

I'm not trying to down anyone about this. The Two Worlds series are two of my favorite rpgs to ever play. Please. Re-add the console commands. It really made a world of difference in certain situations in the games.

Ironically GOG offers the ability to backdate to a previous game version that has been uploaded any time some one chooses to do so, so if the person wanted to do so for that reason, it would work fine.

Therefore the only chance for him to get the console back is not to convince you as you say it is, but is actually to use the very systems that one of the distribution platforms you offer provide. Why are you spreading false information about platforms you are publishing on?

I'm not sure you understand the platforms you are publishing to and what they offer.

My open mind is now closed.
I've seen enough here.

"Nener nener we took away your toys players now give us you lunch money too"

Hahaha no I think not Mr Raidor. I shall vote with my wallet instead. Tis a shame me and a friend were gonna play TW2 coop and would have most likely bought CoT as well but not after this.

This goes in a very strange direction. Are we now talking about "I want to have console back - because I liked to used it and I don´t want to miss it"or "I want to have microtransactions removed - because you are thieves". Shall we also remove trading cards and achievements, because we are stealing peoples money with it?

I understand that the devs wants to gain some extra money with the microtranactions but we are talking about a game that has +7 years and adding this now is kinda dishonest for the fans of TW serie. My opinion is that in the campain mode they should remove it and return the console command and the multiplayer could use thes microtransactions and remove the console.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
And of course they took out the console commands as well because people can't have fun ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about for free, no, you need to buy expensive items from them, even though I'd think console commands could have a lot more application, not just cheap item spawning, but noclipping, restarting levels, loading areas, tweaking graphical settings beyond options menus, spawning npcs, tweaking weapon or npc or player stats, the list goes on.
What if the game is a buggy mess and you need to fiddle around with the console to get around a gamebreaking bug you encountered? Either people will keep playing, with the potential to buy into cheap microtransactions in the future because they continued to stick by the game despite obstacles, or you remove all ability of the player to continue with the game, the player drops it, and now no more potential future support from players.

adding microtransactions to a 6 year old game!

when you think devs couldn't go any lower they pull this greedy ♥♥♥♥ off!
