Turn count question (Overdrive and spell casting)

So, at that fight at the end of act 1 part 1 I need to know:

Does Overdrive counts as "1 turn" and do spell casts that aren't instant count as 2 turns?

Overdrive doesnt cost a turn to use, and spells count as one turn. All spells are instant during Overdrive.

To clarify: Preparing the spell = 1 turn, casting the chanted spell = 1 turn so in total attacking with a spell counts for 2 turns unless you're in Overdrive or get the Zero Arts bonus?

Just to clarify in case some find it confusing, a turn is defined as one "tick" of the turn bar. Thus when the turn bar moves down one, one turn has passed.
