Does cheating matter?

I feel stupid for even having to ask, but after having seen a few rather obvious hackers, I wanted to ask if it matters to the dev and whether there is a reporting option?

The ranged melee thing is a desync issue. On their screen they're using a gun.

A lot of the things people think are hacks are just bugs. There's a common bug where having both a melee weapon and a rifle equipped will show the player shooting a crowbar, for example.

Sounds like bug or desync.

Me & my friend both enter same room, but the interior in the room are different in both of our monitor while we can see each other character perfectly fine.

Thing is the OP started this thread with accusations by stating "a few rather obvious hackers". Armstrong is right whether you guys like it or not, without proof then pointing fingers is not polite.

Now if someone was flying around, shooting infinitely without having to reload or hulk smashing everything with kicks of doom then that's different. All they can do is report and have it looked into with video proof being a bonus and a sure way to get results let alone find out if it's someone cheating, exploiting a bug intentionally or whether or not it was a mishap.

It's hard to tell minor things like someone having god-mode and appearing to not get damaged or attacks across the room due to horrible latency issues.

I guess the devs would have to see what max reach is in game.... maybe someone hacked the skills? is that even possible? and there would be no way to see that with proof. If max reach is 100% and some how someone can edit that skill and make it 900% then yes, but we wouldn't see that devs could but yea we can't.

We can. If you press tab > character search, then you will see that person's character stats/equiped weapon & clothing/bonus perks.

set the attributes of weapon (clip size, bullets fired, fire rate, spread)
noclip (occasionally desyncs to other clients, can also use it as godmode by going in ground)
telekill enemies (either teleport to them or have them "teleport" to you)
spam scrap a single item to scrap it multiple times
locks are serversided but u can seedtrick if you compensate for ping
probably a ♥♥♥♥ ton more

its obfuscated but cheaters are still going to be an issue

As someone mentioned, probably not a big deal in PvE, though it might disrupt market prices in the long run.

than he need game access and be able to manipulate the weapon range of the item to do this i think it was chineese player or something with ping over 1000

When did I say I coded it? I just shared a link from someone else and you instantly attempt to insult me? lol

and if you do something like this he will quit the game in few weeks because of getting boring more and more and mostly its the 12y or 7y okld kids on steam they download and buy hacks for games ... i saw a documentary about a people who run a hacker/cheats website you just make account there buy a subscripstion there goes from regular 19$ to super gold premium 100$ month and than you just say hey i want some cheats for that game and than they try to programm one and say dont even play the games but they said they are earning about 100k a month just with running this website and coding hacks/cheats for games and they said if we dont do it some one else will and thats the problem why we have hackers in every video game because the buissnis is booming and they earn so much money with programming hacks and cheats for games i wouldnt stop too if i could earn 100k a month just for make cheats for games ... and than also there hackers stealing your account sell it with hacks or hack on them themselv and when you get it back you are banned
