Updated it quite a bit. If anyone knows any more weather specific monsters that'd come in handy. Also is there any way to make it rain? Can't seem to get rain over in The Champs Sauvage. Also can't seem to find the last two monsters listed in "The Arborian Highlands" If anyone could fill me in for that it'd be appreciated. Thanks.

Nice work. It would be good to have a guide that just lists the monsters by region (pre and post endgame).

I agree with LordBlade... It would be nice to have a list of each area and the monsters that are in that area. I do love the fact that someone is compiling a list of the Rarefied and Weather related monsters as well though. If someone makes a complete list though they should post it as a guide. I think it would be very beneficial.

So I have killed 44 ursa's with a fully upgraded Wing's of Serendipity and nothing so far...

Wonder if there is a trick to it or they are just like 1:300 chance or something crazy.

Are you killing Ursa or vicious ursa? I do not think Normal Ursa provide the rarified version.

I encountered the Snooty Slimeknight(rareified) in Costa Valor during the daytime with no rain before the event.
Prayer Ring is common, Life Ring is Rare drop

I've created the following categories

(Before Yggdrasil Falls) (After Yggdrasil Falls) (After Yggdrasil Rises)
(After You Time Travel To Save Serena's Hair) [Time Traveled] for short and (Evil Rises) (Evil Falls)

I assume the event you're refering to is before Yggdrasil Falls

The rarified cactiball can be encountered before the first event as well.

24-Carrot Bunicorn - Rarefied Spiked Hare can be found on insula occidentalis before the event.

Brollympian - Rarefied Brollygagger -- can be found on The Champs Sauvage before event.

Ursa Panada can be found in The Snærfelt before event.

Rarefied Platypunk in Laguna area (rainy swamp) after Slayer of the Sands.

Pre ygg:

Snooty slime knight ( costa valor etc ) rarefied slime knight.

Ursa panda ( snow locations ) rarefied ursa minor

rare umbrella ( other side, south sauvage ) rarefied brollygaggers

24-carrot bunnycorn ( champ sauvage ) rarefied bunnycorn.

Its easy to tell which monster is rarefied, it's always below original version somewhere in the middle of list.
