What have you done to kill Metal Slimes?

I have only killed up to King Metal Slimes.

I use metal attack with Sylvano and main character. Those at least do damage. I do them with the metal swords to get an extra point of damage.

My go to has been lightning thrust by Jade. It has done 5/5 crits for me and a crits kill the metal slimes immediately since they take normal damage during crits.

Are there other skills that make it easier or is this the way to go?

erik gets a 100% crit chance skill late in the game you can buy with the skill point, (at a very high MP cost mind you) and I think there's at least one other character with a high crit chance attack aside from jade. a mix of certain crits, high crit chance attacks, metal slash, and slime metal weapons together should be enough to get a decent arsinal to use against metal slimes.

Dual wielding Falcon Blade's has worked wonders for me. :p
Bunch of characters with a bunch of attacks, and lots of chances for a crit.
Then there's just the guaranteed crits like with Erik if you really need them.

Both Jade and Selena have a spear skill with the chance of being a crit.

yep any skill that has high crit or 100% will do since crit ignores defence. Jade's claws are good too, since claws in general have high crit and multiple attacks.

You eventually get a character who has an axe attack with the crit or miss mechanic like spear's thunder thrust.

Metal medley,metalicker,metaslash combo usually does the trick for me, I haven't unlocked any crit moves yet aside from thunder thrust wich is a terrible skill.
