Weird "ting" sound when moving
Overall this game runs great but whenever I'm moving around outside of combat there's this little "ting" sound whenever I walk or run and I cannot figure out what's causing it.

Only a problem for people who want to see a man's back while running on the field.

Set Shionne or Rinwell to be your field character. Problem solved.

It's a notification that you can hit R1 for a skit

Initially I thought this was the case but it'll make that sound even if the skit option isn't there.

When you discover a new fast travel point, when a skit is available, when some stuff related to a side activity is ready or done... .

That sound is used for pretty much any kind of " notification ".

Change MC's costume, or switch to a different character on the field. Its caused by his default costume and th black version of it.

Yeah, some of the costumes are quite noisy when mowing around. A lot of Alphen's outfitf tends to clank and clang when walking, so either try another outfit, or display another cahracter on the field

I notice the same. I expect there is a type of high pitched noise coming from certain armour sets or something that doesn't play nice with certain headsets. I turned down my volume a little and now I don't hear it anymore.

notification sound from battles?

I think it's a bug with the sounds that play with most of Alphen's costumes.
The strangest part is that I get the weird sound on his 2nd costume and all the palette swaps you get from the owls, but the pre-order armor which is also basically a palette swap of it does not have the same annoying sound.
Instead I hear a more natural "clack" sound. My guess is that maybe in the other costumes that clack sound is somehow playing incorrectly.
