How is the PC version?
I've been trying to decide whether to go with the PC or PS5 version of Arise. How is the PC version of the game? Any performance issues or anything that would make one version recommended over the other.

The PC version runs well, it's not particularly a graphical intensive game, just very stylish like Scarlet Nexus. I think I saw a black friday deal on the ps5 version for like $40? I'm sure you can probably find the PC version on sale on the usual key sites for cheap too.

I've played through the game 3 times now, started a clean unknown playthrough but lost steam to continue atm. Will go back to it at some point. It's a very great port imo. No frame rate issues, no bugs i've seen, very smooth, clean adaptation of most controllers people use. Can't go wrong.

The game works as intended and comes with features most PC games should have. Runs at a high frame rate and never stutters. I am impressed considering most first timers with their Unreal Engine on their series that previously did not use it stumble and lack the features present in Tales of Arise.

I got a little screen tearing in cutscenes when playing on Steam Proton/Linux on a GTX 970 that I failed to resolve by tweaking graphics settings... but other than that it ran beautifully for the whole game. So felt like a pretty solid port to me.

Ran pretty smooth for me. 5900x and 6800xt, got 125~144 fps @4k. In combat as well. I think it did drop a bit in one of the areas but still very high fraterates. :ys_dana:

Late in my playthrough did run into stuttering when approaching a map exit (from loading assets, I assume) but that was only after I edited some settings via a third party config.

If you have a good pc I would recommend getting the game on pc~

I'm on a pretty high end system and get mostly 120fps (my max refresh rate) at all times with no stutters or performance issues. I also have the SDK downloaded which virtually eliminates pop in. It's a great version on PC. I haven't played the PS5 version but my friend is playing through it and has said he's underwhelmed with the graphics. If you have a low end PC, maybe consider the PS5 version but if you have a current GPU, PC all the way.

I am only 6.1 hours in on the pc version and I have not had any problems

i9-9900k/2080ti/32 system ram, ran in 4k/60+ like butter. Could record mega-quality 4k video while playing and it was still butter.

So it's very optimized vs. many other games - where I may be able to play at 4k/60 just fine but recording at 4k at the same time would be a huge hit, for example. most modern bigger budget games I have to record at 1440 if I still want the game to run smoothly at the same time.

I ran into no major bugs/glitches, I used a controller and it worked fine etc.
that said, I'd agree that if one still has a pretty low-end PC, with low RAm and VRAM, the PS5 might be a better bet. Unless you're really keen on using a few outfit/skin mods or cheat engine tables (to play solo vs. forced to party or whatever other reason) or those kinds of things.

with pc nobody can say for sure if the performance will be flawless on your particular system. so if you need to ask the question of "pc or console" on a forum while also giving no info about your system in the OP, go for console version. ps5 version is guaranteed to run decent and look as the devs intended. cant really go wrong with it. on pc, many things can go wrong and you dont seem to be the person that wants to troubleshoot the solution.
I'm running it on a GTX 960 and no tearing or other issues. works great with my switch controller also, so which platform is up to you as far as I can tell.

I might buy the PC version like I have with other versions, I'm just struggling now with Bamco support because preordering the CE of this game apparently turned into a lottery system of you might get your game or it might be "damaged" on the shipping floor, grow legs, and walk to eBay, then support drag like a dog with it's butt on the carpet for 2 months then try to tell you they can't send you anything.

I played through it on the PS5 and tried the PC demo. Basically if you have a good rig, get the PC version. The PS5 makes you select between quality and performance, but if your comp can handle it, you don't make any compromises in either department. I found the same thing with Scarlet Nexus as well.

I love the PC version :D its very nice experience for me :D

Does the game still have horrific pop up issues?

I've not encountered instability problems at all but the arena size is a bit smaller. When fighting with so many enemies the characters tend to get stuck out and then start to jerk or unable to move.
