so many issues i had with the game go away around the time you beat it and start unlocking artifacts never mind these "devil arms" the game becomes much more convienent. especially the do double damage take double damage that one is great....

Yes, usually Tales games is balanced around Normal & Moderate on 1st playthrough.

Hard requires you to farm more than normal. Or you can just leave it for NG+

This is no farming in this game, period.

There is a ranch though. Pretty close to farming that most probably don't know the difference between them :unmaskedmimic: .

Not that uncommon with JRPGs, assuming they even have difficulty settings. Bumping it up usually just means more farming, more grinding, and really long battles as it takes FOREVER to kill things.

Yeah, unless you grind it is literally impossible to hit the DPS check on bosses. I had to just put on the -50% damage taken accessory and tank through the raidwide. Still doable, but really annoying how I'm using like 75%+ of my HP to do about 25% of the necessary damage for the dps check.

dude i just got da for most of the cast they are soooooo cheap...all that grinding finally paid off again after all the game has been finished but i can take them to ng+ if i care for that...

tbh, i started from the beginning on hard, never changed to a easier difficulty and didnt grinded any lvl for hours to defeat the bosses. every map i cleared every mob once thats it. from my experience it could be harder.

It can be harder. You can pick the DLC difficulty right from the start, instead of picking hard.

I cleaned the whole game in the hardest difficulty level (unknown) on my 1st playthrough without grinding for lvl, however i had to grind a bite for accessories. Once you understand the no/poorly explained game mechanics, what arte to use and what perk to choose the game become so easy in hard, even in unknown difficulty i had to gimp myself (no use of consumable for example).
If you don't believe me, I have already uploaded my fights versus all lords on my youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6p6cNIMTak295SQeLowIvw) and plan to do guides.

Not everyone has the same skill level. If you found Unknown very easy, then you are much more skilled then most players are.

i see no difference between hard and unknown honestly but man must be boring fighting hp sponges that can one shot you at any time with their spam, i for one get tired of hearing all the voice dialog spam that goes on in the long fights because of the high health pools and low player damage.

HOWEVER now that i can do a ng+ with artifacts devil arms and such i can be one of the cool kids & play through on the hardest difficulty with no grinding and say how easy the game is as well.

Did you fight every boss 1-on-1? Because I literally don't know how you avoid using consumables otherwise; no matter how good YOU are, the AI-controlled companions will be downed by enemies sometimes.
