Shionne attitude
I play on Ps5 & i only beat the second lord, but i really want to know something, its not that i dislike Shionne, i think shes a cool character, but something is bothering me, will she open up more to the group and Alphen ? Will her attitude change at all?

Yes, gradually but around realm 4-5 is when she starts to really open up and then a bit after realm 5 is when she fully opens up. Also pay attention to her in the credits *no spoiler* :)

Shionne reminds me of Velvet from Berseria and Lightning from the FF13 games where both have an attitude, but all three eventually open up...

Uh no. the cast was awful in this game. Rinwell and Zypher or however you spell it were the only good characters and you saw what happened to the latter....

Dolhalim was pretty meh, and the rest are straight trash.

Yeah! Zephyr... becomes the strongest enemy in the game! I can only imagine the eye roll reactions of those who read the spoiler but haven't beaten the game and don't take me serious. Hehe.

Her attitude is totally justified. Just continue the game, you'll see in the second half.

I actually like Rinwell in the later ''comical'' skits much less. (too much ''not actually funny'' comments towards Law, imo)

Storywise, agree. She went from ''hey Rinwell, you dont make sense'' to ''okay so thats why'' and then finally ''must protect''.

The cast was pretty amazing. Very believable characters. Been a long time since I saw characters expressed/written that well.

Rinwell was by far the worst early on before her arc was resolved, as the player isnt given any explaination yet and her actions dont make since considering what we know from her background at that point.

Granted, I dont expect much from someone that calls a cast like this trash. Why did you even consider them bad characters (Dohalim included)?

Were you a slave to your preconceptions, and couldnt get yourself to relate to them? :ys_dana:

Glad to hear you like it, might wanna check out Berseria and maybe Zestiria, with Berseria being my favorite in the series thus far...up to you of course!

Awesome. If you want another JRPG that involves adventuring/traveling with a MC who sneaks away from home, boards a steamer to set off to the new world (barely explored continent on other side of the world) and begins his life as an adventurer with a spunky good personality female he encounters along the way, as well as some others he meets, and their blooming romance you might be interested in Grandia which is available on Steam. There is Grandia II, as well, if you like it though I'm partial towards the first game's story and characters. Be warned that game is long AF, like ridiculously so even compared to Tales of games, as it is almost entirely story with only a few side things to do making the main story probably the longest of any JRPG to date despite being a PS1 title. Don't expect a complex story though, as it is more of a heart warming tale of new adventures, experiences, growth, friendship, romance, etc. The romantic elements are kind of emphasized in the game, too, if you like that kind of thing. Combat is not action based but is one of the more famous classic ATB implementations.
