Iron Mask drinking and eating

How does Iron Mask drink water? Do they have straws or something? How does he eat? I mean I guess he could shove food under there and manage to get it down, It'd be a struggle, but doable. Without a straw, how could he manage to drink?

I know it's just a game, loving this game so far. I just can't help but wonder...

It's not just that, but if someone got stuck in an iron mask for so long, the discomfort would've made them gone insane, or even jump off a bridge. It makes no sense.

It seems to be inspired by the film "The Man in the Iron Mask" which is one of my favorite films though.

In some scenes you can kinda see he has some clearance for his mouth/jaw under the mask I assume he just puts the food under it and eats/drinks that way. As for the discomfort of wearing it, well the guy doesnt feel pain so I dont know how bad the discomfort would get. He clearly feels a little (he complains about not being able to itch his face) but hard to say how bad it is.

There is a skit where he brings this issue to Shione, about how difficult is to eat with the mask.

His skin should be a disaster area too. Like just covered in sweat 24/7, rash, acne, etc. He's a slave doing hard labor in a place that's 50% fire and lava. With an iron helmet covering his entire head.

To be fair, he also has amnesia. He's only been wearing the mask for around a year (and who knows how accurate that guess is) as far as he knows.

he actually unhinges his jaw like a snake to get food and drink in his mouth, there's a cutscene for it

Remember Iron Mask does not feel pain, so thats prob why the mask doesn't really bother him. As for how he eats/drinks I bet he can lift it at the bottom a bit, just enough to get food and such in.

Well I'm not far into the game but judging by the few flashback fmv's hes had, I got the feeling hes a renan and just doesn't know it. Or has something to do with them anyway, as when his mask got cracked, its the same blue color as Renan eyes glow when they do spells. That can't just be a coincidence, not to mention the girl in his flashbacks looks like she has renan clothes on.
