Wraith flying was not a thing since early 2020. He was, at some point, but the feature was immediately removed(because it was broken af). Even though journal still states that Wraiths fly, they are in fact not.
The revenant is not necessarily the "zombie like corpse" as you state. All ghosts have randomized appearances and the appearance has nothing to do with the ghost type in the slightest.
The skins of the Ghost have absolutely nothing to do with the Ghost Type. Never have, and likely never will.
We will likely all have to re-learn/re-discover the ghosts' quirks after the update on Friday, however the Wraith's thing is that it doesn't leave UV green footprints after stepping in salt. That's all.
It still steps on salt (the salt pile looks like a foot stepped in it). It just doesn't leave the green footprints that light up in UV when it walks around after the footprints.
It still makes footstep sounds after stepping in salt (that's how you know it is walking around), and there's literally no other change to it when it's walking around otherwise (hunts or whatever).
The "walk through walls" bit is simply that it has an ability to teleport to a player before trying to hunt. So you can be any distance from the Wraith, it will suddenly be next to you.. "as if it walked through walls to get to you".
