OR.. now, we can just upgrade to a higher tier. Tier 3 just stops it for a few seconds. Even Tier 2 basically makes this issue moot. Spend a bit on the upgrade and use them instead, and if you have to use Tier 1 (not that far in levels or doing a Challenge mode), just be aware that it can happen and you'll need to compensate for it.
The smudge stick doesn´t make the ghost blind, it repels it, once you activate, the ghost runs to the oposite way, the thing is that the ghost take 2 steps and then for some reason still chases you while you´re in "smudge inmunity"
All electronics off, in the photo, you can see the locker just a little open, the thing the ghost does to make you close it again, if the ghost is going to kill you in a hidding spot, they completely open the locker
It does that, because there's no such thing as "repelling" beyond that word just being used in one of the objectives. The smudge sticks simply deactivates the ghosts ability to check for Line of Sight, so it naturally falls into its searching behavior, where it picks a random waypoint in its vicinity, runs towards it and after reaching it it picks the next waypoint.
Due to that very basic behaviro, it running 2 steps and then chaning direction is what is expected to happen, as it was just a waypoint which was 2 steps away and if it then "runs after you", then it obviously took another waypoint which coincidentallyis in your path. And that can happen, because the smudge stick doesn't limit the ghosts ability to pick random waypoints in any way.
You should hold your doors shut, so that they can't even open it at all without knowing you being in there, because if you're unlucky, then this slight opening can already be enough to see you and trigger the killing mode in the first place (especially if you accidentally open it a littlebit more).
This is not accurate. The ghost is "repelled" but it does NOT always run the opposite way. Very often it will run toward the player who smudged. Not sure if it's a bug, but it's been this way forever. But yeah, it doesn't matter because you're invulnerable for a few seconds which in small maps is enough time to break line of sight and hide
FALSE.
The ghost is not being REPELLED by Incense. It becomes unable to see and attack players and begins randomly stumbling for the duration of the effects.
