Leaving early might feel bad, especially if you're wrong, but you won't lost the item loadout in your truck so it saves you money and it's better than dying.
Otherwise no...there's no way to escape the house/building until after the hunt.
Without the paw... there is no legitimate way out during a hunt, but there is a sort of grace period; the ghost has to wait a set time after a hunt before starting the next one, so that time window is your opportunity to escape.
Best advice is to turn on the lights near your hiding spot before a hunt begins... when the hunt is over all house lighting will be forced off... so you can use that to know when it's time to start running for the door ASAP.
Your best bet is to try and break sight and find a hiding spot in a closet or one of the misc spots that were put in place. These usually look like stacked boxes or boards placed to the side that provide a small square like cubicle for you to crouch in (Example: The kid's room in Tanglewood Drive has a hiding spot near the crib). You also want to make sure that ALL electronics are turned off (light included) and your mics muted.
A strategy my wife and I use when we play together:
ONE person brings all the extra items first off (We alternate depending on who wants to do evidence). At the start, we both go it to find the bone (pick up after taking picture) and cursed object for pictures. She also goes room to room with the video camera to check for orbs while I look around for the room using other methods. I usually use the tier 1 thermometer as the ghost room is obvious as the red line steadily drops to lower temps.
If the person doing the investigating dies, ya lose nothing!
It's two ghosts, just they can't both be hunting at the same time. It alternates between a fast twin and a slow twin. They can interact with things at the same exact time too, but in separate rooms.
It is one ghost with two interaction radiuses.
Haven't you been told once already to stop spreading misinformation?
Obviously there are no real ghosts in the game at all, it is just code. So it is just a matter of perspective, if you consider it one or two ghost. Either is honestly fine.
I suggest getting help from the in-game tutorial to explore more about ghosts and the basic Phasmophobia mechanics. Seek tips from experienced players and third-party source guides.
FALSE.
- There is only one "ghost" entity with The Twins.
- It has a normal interaction radius and a large interaction radius. It CAN and WILL use both interaction radiuses simultaneously.
- The Twins only affects the temperature of the room it is actually in.
- The Twins only gives Spirit Box evidence from its true location.
- The Twins only checks for Crucifixes from its true location.
- The Twins may choose to teleport to the site of its last "large interaction radius" interaction after a hunt begins. IF IT DOES, it gains a speed boost.
These are not "nitpicks", these are facts. Please learn them.
