What happens are u reach level 999?

I have a friend who says that you'll automatically prestige to the next level?

Anyone can confirm?

because he was rushing his prestige levels when I told him how pointless it is. He told me if i reached level 999, I'll be 'automatically prestiged'. I asked him to quote his source, he told me 'the devs confirmed it'.

nope thats what he claimed would happen, and I would still lose all my items still but so far nobody I know has even reached 999 yet to confirm this.

The devs haven't announced a feature like this and it doesn't make any sense to begin with anyway. It probably just stops at 999 and waits for you to reset it.

when you hit level 999 that door in the main menu hideout, with the ghost women, opens

When you reach level 999, you can't gain xp anymore and just cap out until you prestige.

I believe devs have stated this before on some of their partnered content creator's streams.

999 is simply the level cap. You won't gain any more XP unless you decide to prestige.

How do you prestige? The first time I ever heard of it was from the recent update, but suddenly I'm seeing a lot more talk about it.

Does it get you bigger rewards and such? I noticed a HUGE jump in payouts and XP rewards for my friends and I after the 0.9.0 update, and as far as we know we only got the 1 prestige from the update.
