My voice is not recognized anymore through the spirit box

Basically title, since last update my voice is literally not reaching. I even tested with the "Current microphone imput" and I can barely see the green.

I also have this problem. Players hear my voice in multiplayer, but the spirit box doesn't respond. Also, in single player, the audio response bar in the audio settings doesn't respond at all, though it does in multiplayer.

Speech recognition is broken entirely. Don't bother with it. I just toss the spirit box in the ghost room and wait for it to auto trigger a response. Not worth wasting my time on doing anything beyond that.

Same here. Last night my microphone mysteriously stopped working. My mic is being picked up by my Device Manager on my desktop (green audio bar bounces when I talk), as well as in Discord. I've tried everything I could think of, including giving special permissions to prioritize Phasmophobia for my microphone, and nothing has worked. This microphone has worked in-game for over a year now (at about 490 hrs played at this point).

Ascension broke voice recognition entirely, use Voice Activation for it to work, PTT and Toggle is broken

If you have voice recognition set to Windows, it will break if you alt tab out of the game.
To fix it, instead of tabbing back in, re-open the game by clicking on it on the taskbar.

The game sadly went from playing with ingame communications, voice activation and voice interaction with the tools and evidence to discord communication, push to talk and text prompts on the screen.

There is no reason anymore to use a mic for the game itself. It is only detrimental now to play the more immersive settings.

I agree, text never should've been added, it just ruins the entire charm of the game.
