Tier 1 spirit box busted for me

every time i used the spirit box nothing will respond to it i went into the training mode and i spent around five minutes with the spirit box and no response

some ghosts only respond to single people in a room, also the room has to be in the darkness. If you have lights on it won't work. Make sure your microphone is being picked up by the spirit box as well

The Tier I spirit box is right now the hardest equipment to use. I also had games where I needed to try 20+ times but other games the ghost responds after 4 tries.

Funnily enough, the first ever time that I used a spirit box in my friend session had a response, then never again. I think a few of my friends also used the spirit box, but again, first time I used it in the session (And the first time using the Tier 1)

We're having the same problem. The light isn't even lighting up, like it doesn't recognize the voice chat. The monkey paw and Ouija board are the same, we were needing to repeat questions several times to get a response. It caused a pretty funny situation where I was hiding in a closet with the paw, getting chain hunted, and trying, at least 7 times, to wish my buddy back to life.

it works for me though.. although you need to see white light coming from the box to confirm its spirit box

it's extremely finicky, it takes a long while to get a response, and some luck.

Same white light on, the only response was a red light on the ghost side, but couldn't hear the ghost at all

The red light means that it was a recognized question, not that the ghost is responding. I thought the same thing at first.

You probably already passed this but for the "training" mode the white board clearly says "lights need to be off" so turn off lights, go in the first room (which is lit by default) and use the spirit box.

EDIT: Tier 1 spirit box DOES have a vocal response, and it will glow white when it does.

This means if the 'ghost' lightbulb turns red, it heard you.
If it turns white, it is responding.

Since this is a new update it's likely having bugs and isn't showing white light.

It does have a vocal response but the white glow is easier to notice.

Red light is what used to be "X" but since X now belongs to Elon they had to change that

Well, basically every piece of equipment is nerfed to the ground and you are forced to level up and upgrade from 0. Old spirit box was bad, but this piece of plastic seems to be much worse.
