Just got hunted twice and lived, but still didnt get the ghost event obj and its kind of silly in my opinion

No, hunts are hunts. Ghost Events are supernatural events where the ghost manipulates the environment around you.

It's not silly at all, in my opinion.

So get this - if you have a ghost hunt objective, ghost events don't count for it. The utter silliness of this game.

Interaction, Event and Hunt are all separate things.

Interaction: Ghost interacts with item, this means touching doors, throwing items, turning things on-off.
Event: Ghost manifests directly, or causes room-wide stuff to happen. For example, if all doors suddenly close and it is not a hunt, it is an event. Or lights turn red, or break, that is an event.
Hunt: Self explaining. Ghost hunts for you

If the ghost is hunting, you can't get event, and opposite: during on-going event ghost can't hunt.
