i wouldn't say there's no jumpscares. hearing a ghost suddenly breath in your ear or a door slam in your face can be very startling.
agree. it's already plenty scary so i hope they don't ruin it by adding cheap heart attack inducers.
A jumpscare is literally a scare meant to be loud and in your face. It's a cheap way to scare people. The fact that happened was just coincidence of where you happened to be in terms of where the ghost was xD
They also can make idle noises like "eehhhh...." like a zombie would at times.
There's also been reports of ghosts 'singing' or 'humming' melodically out of the blue.
;-;
that
sounds
scary
af
can you imagine humming in the asylum or school? ;-;
But there are minor jump scares, like when the ghost appears in your face in VR for a split second and then disappears. Or whispers in your ear.
After some playthroughs this game isn't scary. I mean, the ghost was spawning directly behind me with a loud grudge sound. I turn around and was saying :"*his name* you a s shole, wanna fight?".
Most of times I make fun of the ghosts. Man, I wish that future updates will make the game way scarier and harder.
Honestly? I find those far scarier than just a loud scream. Especially if you are playing with quality headset. The light flicks out and it sounds like somebody is right at your ear? That is more frightful than some random scream because it gives a sense of proximity. If it sounds right on top of you? It probably is.
The death rattle is also very creepy because you hear it, you know the ghost is there, but if it hasn't manifested, you don't know where it is.
