Got insurance money without dying.

So i did a solo run with only starting gear and completed it by finding all evidence.

After i got out i saw i got 10$ insurance, how is that possible?

the same thing has happened to me several times in my attempts to get the same challenge, and i have yet to actually get the challenge credit despite completing it multiple times.

I dont understand what the challenges has to do with this.
Unless you mean you get insurance money while trying to do crucifix challenge and the item is used up without getting credit for it.

you mentioned 'with only starting gear', and that's a challenge today that i was trying to get when i had the same insurance glitch. i think something's screwey where it gives you insurance instead of challenge credit, but i'll try it out with some extra items to confirm.

It probably has nothing to do with it and was likely just a coincidence. It happened to me last night before that challenge was available.

I was solo as well, starting equipment only, but it was still yesterday's challenges.

Oh, just to add i been only playing on amateur difficulty so far, so i dont know if other difficulties give the 10$ insurance.

it's solo missions. did an amateur and an intermediate with a friend and no insurance
