Possessed Teddy Bear?
So I have to ask, are there now haunted items? My friends and I were playing on the farm house with the ghost (a revanent) in the first floor bathroom. As a joke I grabbed the Teddy bear that was on the counter to take back to the van. As soon as I did the ghost instantly appeared in front of me.

I survived the encounter and put the bear in the van, but to my friends horror there was an EMF level two whenever they went near the bear in the van. I left them with the bear and we joked about it being haunted. less then a minute later I hear them screaming that the bear is gone, and I look around and found the bear sitting alone in the living room. Confused I brought it back to the truck, only for it to once again disappear and teleport to living room. This whole time there is next to no evidence to the ghosts identity.

On a hunch, I put the bear back on the bathroom shelf and not long after there was an EMF 5 and ghost writing.

Because it was so prevelant in the match, after we identified the ghost (which used the model of a long black haired young woman, fitting) I grabbed the bear and decided we would take it back to base as a joke memento. Oddly though after starting up the van, the engine sounded like it sputtered, died and stopped. The didn't open like it would have if someone else had stopped it, almost as if the ghost itself was trying to stop us from taking the bear. I hit the keypad to open the door and closed it again, This time we were able to leave just fine.

I don't know if this was a new feature, or a convienient set of glitches. Regardless this made for one of the greatest and most memorable matches we have had to date, and I think the idea of haunted mementos of the dead is an amazing idea that could be added to the game.

this isn't something i've ever heard of or experienced myself, and i do read the patch notes.

The ghost can have an item of interest, it's a thing in the game.

Me either, I have some doubts. They do have items of interest that much is real.

Stuff like the bears can 100% be moved around, it's occurred to me before.

I've actually seen teddy bears used to bring Bones to me if I don't find them, seriously I'd go into a room with both not in there then the next after bring more equipment if it was the ghost's room because I close doors behind me when I open the door to the room right at the foot of the door would be the bear with the bone near it, I've even seen the bear go from the Nursery all the way to the Kitchen/Dining Room on Tanglewood.
Edit: and when I say seen I don't mean physically because I'm certain there's no animation for it yet but could be planned I just know they are in that room.

Sounds like me and my friends then just got the right combination of random elements to make for an amazing experience.

If it hasn't been implemented yet then I really hope that the devs consider adding it as a mechanic, having a ghost possessing a specific object as opposed to just a whole room. Could add an entirely new level to the ghost hunting.

The ghost can rarely move otherwise undisturbed things around the house when nobody is around. Such as various clutter or mannequins.

Had a game on the Tutorial house where we found the ghost room, tossed our gear on the ground and went to go get more. On our way back in one of us yelled "Look outside! In the living room!" Just outside the living room window there was a mannequin facing in

What was the ghost type? Was it Jinn? They are quite territorial and don't like you in their room and touching the things inside the room.

Pretty sure it where the room is and the ghost doesn't matter if the bear's teleported around, I've had numerous ghost types on Tanglewood where that bear is moved to different parts of the house and the ghost's room would be like the Foyer or the Basement and I'd see the bear moved from the Nursery to either the Kitchen/Dining room or the Master Bedroom.

I NEVER touch the bear in the Nursery if the ghost's in the Nursery the only thing I do is put a camera on the shelf if I don't have tripods.

I’ve seen haunted items such as balls being thrown in the attic but the ghost is downstairs. It wasn’t a dead player because we just entered Grafton House. If I had the Emf on me I could of had it pick it up. Was cool though. It’s fun to watch on camera when ghosts interact with the ghost book. Sometimes they’ll pick it up and move it and then we get ghost writing. I was outside the Grafton House door and watched this happen. It was an angry ghost lol.

I menioned in the initial post that it was a revenant. Though the ghost being territorial still doesn't explain why the bear had a constant emf reading of 2, even when put in the van

Was anyone on your team killed? Now unless this was a mod I saw a video on YouTube that said dead players could cause the EMF reader to go off when they got near it, same with the Spirit Box.

No one on the team died, and everyone was in groups of 2 so there's no one for someone to have been pulling a prank as we were always in each others view
