how does the shooting work?

so i am still new to counter strike, i just got into it a few days ago and i still don't know how the shooting/spraying works, I know it sounds silly but here is why, When i play i sometimes get a headshot or bodyshot kill easily, But sometimes when its 1v1, i unload my entire clip on some guy and he magically survives every shot even tho it hits them, and they shoot me once and i die ;(

So i am wondering i am still new but can someone explain it to me? i unload a clip to someone and they survive everything and i get shot once or twice and my guy just die even at full 100 hp

first of all ur first 3 shots are not probably hitting the player which are like most important ones and after that u probably panic (often seen on lower lvl) and try to spray enemy down which shoots the bullets all over the place and if u play against any good hes gonna just tap you 3 times and ur dead. so insted of spray try doing like 5 bullet bursts first even at close range and aim at the enemy after that go full spray if it doesent get him and control the spray pattern even do you will try controling it takes loads and loads of practice to get the spray pattern right.

you should get better as you play more, as CS:GO isn't a game where you can pick up and play

DON'T MOVE while shooting. It will take some time to get used to, but it will make you much more accurate. Keep in mind that movement has momentum, so you won't stop on a dime by letting off the move key, practice tapping the opposite movement key to stop much quicker, or try walking for a split second just before you stop movement and shoot in that split second you are standing still, then start moving again - it will take lots of practice to get good at, but it will improve your accuracy.

Try to keep your crosshair at chest/head height at all times, and try to keep your crosshair close to where you expect the enemy to be comming from, it will take you much less time to aim if your crosshair is close to your enemy when he appears on screen.

Stop moving while you shoot. Stop crouching. Stop moving WHILE youre crouching WHILE you shoot.

Just stand still.. and shoot. Thats all you do. Literally.

And when you shot. ONLY shoot 3 bullets at a time. Every bullet is pinpoint accurate on the first 1-2 shots. Dont jump.. it makes your aim ♥♥♥♥ed up.
This isnt COD. If you run and shoot.. YOU WILL DIE. YOU WILL DIE. YOU WILL DIE.

Aim for the head. the AK is a 1 shot kill in the head from ANY range. So see someone.. stand still.. Shoot in the head ONE BULLET.. JUST ONE.. And get the kill. If you miss youre screwed.

AND PLEASE GOD PLEASE WALK.. Don't be one of those people who maes noise by running everywhere. Walking makes you more accurate and makes your QUIET. This is a game about SOUND.


The gun spray patterns are not random. Shoot them on a wall and learn the pattern.

its totally situational dont be closeminded and not shoot while running sometimes you have to flank those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who wont move while shooting to win
