Is it me, or are flashes useless?
Each time I get flashed, I never get rushed, and I can simply move/look away to reduce the effect of a flash. Are flashes used to just temporarily blind, take a peek, and then camp? If I get flashed, I would be sure to walk away backwards or so. Can someone help me out with the use of flashes?

The people using them against you aren't using them right. The correct way to use them is to flash, peak, and get a kill while the enemy is blind. The other way to use them is to simply delay an enemy from pushing on your position.

Its you. Flashes are god. The reason is youre using them WRONG.

They see it coming and turn their head. There ARE ways to get it to flash right when the flashbang comes into their line of sites.

Flashes > every weapon in cs.If you know how and when to flash people its easy kill or maybe 2-3 kills.Ofcours if ou just through them and enemies saw you want to flash them then can just look away.P.S/Flashes are so stronk that you can even kill enemies with them.Best tactical weapon.

I don't use them because I don't see the use.

I thought so. Flash, peek and kill is what people fail to do.

BTW you spelled peek wrong (peak you typed)

Your probably a newbie or just a troll but once you get into higher ranks or just have more experience flashes are one of the most important utensils you can have. It just doesn't flash them, it also does many things for example.......make the enemy back off or turn around to reduce the flash which during that time the opponent can have time to either run away or charge at them, easily flushes out small, enemy-concentrated areas.

Throw them so they cant turn around and are blind, or throw them and YOU turn/move forward. And combine 2 flashes in area's to zone and in depth.

Dont throw them and expect them to blind after more then 2/3 sec...

Look up pop flashes. They are flashes that are thrown in such a way that they detonate almost instantly as they enter the enemies' view, giving them no time to look away.

if i'm not mistaken there are many, like at mid doors on Dust 2, that come in from above. No one would be looking up there so no one would notice the flash coming in.

Everyone with a average monitor resolution see those incomming.....

Those from above are the easiest to counter. Flash takes time, it has more air travel. so the most are easily foreseen.

The trick is to bounce/air travel so theyre timed to detonate 1s in sight of the enemy.

I play a lot of comp on dust 2, i grab about 2 flashes, throw one around the corner at b, cts stunned, bomb planted, win.

Flashes are so important. Learn dual flashes, pop flashes, and the weirdest ways to throw flashes (like bouncing off multiple walls, or thrown from unexpected angles).

If you think flashes are useless, then you are not doing it right, or the enemies aren't throwing them properly.

http://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/620696934073715734/ This is related to De_Dust but more maps will be added, but the general rules still apply.

Don't flash your own team members or you will get knifed in the skull ;)
