They see it coming and turn their head. There ARE ways to get it to flash right when the flashbang comes into their line of sites.
I don't use them because I don't see the use.
I thought so. Flash, peek and kill is what people fail to do.

I play Casual and haven't touched ranked since 2012.
Thats explaine everything...No offence but casual cs = cod.Of course people there just through flashes because they have them but not to help team.
Dont throw them and expect them to blind after more then 2/3 sec...
if i'm not mistaken there are many, like at mid doors on Dust 2, that come in from above. No one would be looking up there so no one would notice the flash coming in.
Everyone with a average monitor resolution see those incomming.....
Those from above are the easiest to counter. Flash takes time, it has more air travel. so the most are easily foreseen.
The trick is to bounce/air travel so theyre timed to detonate 1s in sight of the enemy.
If you think flashes are useless, then you are not doing it right, or the enemies aren't throwing them properly.
