C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps

Go there and delete the de_dust2 map, then relaunch csgo and it should redownload it when you connect to a server running de_dust2.
Thank you so much!

Hi, is there any way I could contact steam support? The same thing happened to me, and I tried deleting it and redownloading, just to get a 7 day cooldown. This is extremely frustrating because I didn't do anything that deserves a cooldown other than trying to enjoy a game with my friend. Thanks for the help, and add me if you know how I can contact steam about cooldowns.

Competitive Cooldowns

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's competitive mode has a number of automated measures in place to ensure that every game is enjoyable for all players. A competitive cooldown can be issued for any of the following reasons:

  • As a new player, competitive wins will continue to cause a cooldown until you have completed enough games to calibrate your skill group.
  • Abandoning a game
  • Attacking teammates / teamkilling
  • AFKing or otherwise not participating in a game that you have joined
  • Abusing the kick system

You can find out more about this system here

Note: A matchmaking cooldown will be issued regardless of whether or not an infraction was intentional.

While it sucks to have a seven day, the only way you could have gotten it is if you had prior transgressions, you should be more careful next time! Also steam support can't help you, sorry.

the best reason I know is that your map was somehow corrupted in a way that CS:GO rejects you from playing the map
but the fix is very easy from what frisky mentioned, just hard to get good information from people

You connected recently to a server that has a map named Dust_2 that is not actually Dust_2 and it replaces the correct map with this one. That's the problem, like Loser said though, easy fix.

This happened to me when I was gonna lan with the boys the whole night. Got a 1 day ban. Valve is a great company!

To be fair, if you weren't stacking bans and breaking the rules. It would only be 30 minutes.
