Smurfs in csgo are a serious problem

Seriously, why the ♥♥♥♥ is smurfing in csgo allowed ? It is DESTROYING THE GAME ! It is extremly frustrating to play against someone who is just so much better than you, is carrying the other team to unfair victory and you cant do anything about that... Yes, it happened to me today, and it pissed me off. And the same goes for boosting... it is just unfair...

Not being able to fix something 100% doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed to some extent.
It's like saying : oh ♥♥♥♥ no matter what we do people will still die on the road, let's give up and not implement any new systems to prevent it.

Let me start off by saying that I hate smurfs.

But, let me also give you a piece of advice. The BEST way for you to get better is to vs the smurfs. Watch how they play, pay attention to everything they do and work with it. YOu aren't going to stop smurfs, But you can get better from vsing smurfs.

But I still wish smurfs were gone, and I don't think they should be allowed but the simple fact is theres nothing anyone here can do to change it.

The best way to improve is watching pro, not play vs 1 single smurf.
Get invited by friends higher ranked than you and face off vs higher rank.
Vsing a smurf usually mean your teamwork will collapse because the skill gap is too hugue and there is no chance of wining at all. So, you get even less when you are frustrated and your skill decay than facing off better opponents with a better team.

You can't even watch the smurf in the ennemy team. Why would rewatch your matches when you have better materials to improve everywhere else.

Add a report smurf button. BUT this one would work differently, it would work like overwatch, if enough report is triggered and the guy is proven to be a smurfer he would then be FORCE placed in a rank significantly higher. That way even people trying to decay on purpose would be forced higher.

Also once they have been proved to be smurfing and placed higher, makes the system more sensible to griefing. That way, they can't decay back on purpose.

ps: that's just 1 idea found in 10 minutes. maybe it's not good enough, but i highly doubt the cs go staff can't come up with something after so long zzzz.

smurfs are ok i have one myself for my friends that are a lower rank then me. i also liove going against smurfs. it givres you a challenge and helps you improve only you silvers complain

I think the reason why smurfing is such a big problem in Counter-Strike is because there's places where you can get it for as cheap as $5, so people don't mind spend a few extra bucks for a new smurf account. Whereas a game like Starcraft II, which used to be 2-3 times more expensive than CS:GO (it dropped in price now though i think) has a very minor smurf problem.
Also many console games that have ranking-systems (e.g. Halo) also didn't have much of a smurfing problem for the same reason (paying $5/month to sustain a smurf account is a bit too much for most people)

Thats why I think theres almost no way to get rid of smurfs in CS:GO. The only thing they could possibly do is to allow people to ''report'' a smurfer, not so he gets banned, but so the system will move him to a higher skill group.

Yeah sure you love going against smurf on your smurf at least you don't fall asleep as usual on the keyboard/ your friend is getting boosted ofc, but ask him if he likes facing smurf without you....i doubt it.

In my head it's not quiet clear what's worst because for one hacker you face you get 30 smurfs.
Well in the highest rank the problem switch to more hackers ofc and less smurfs.

plz steam do something to stop these smurfs, cuz the game is already end when the other team has a smurf, and they are basically just unstoppable in game. I am a silver master, but after all these smurfs i became a silver four. I really hate how people make themselves feeling like a master of the game but they are just a normal player in higher ranks. Usually I play 7 - 8 hours, but since i feel afraid to derank, i only play 1-2 games which means 1 hour. Smurfs make people can't enjoy this game.

now to counter your argument, if i play with my friends on my main, i would lose alot of games which will cause my to derank which means i will be placed in a skill group alot lower than my actual skill. now isnt that the same as smurfing?

for example my main gets deranked from lem to mge just from playing with silvers, when i go to solo queue it will be unfair for the other mges in my games.

So instead you play with a smurf and make FIVE other people lose the game and get deranked.
So they are smurfing then, since they are actually a rank higher - just got deranked by losing to smurfs.

Sometimes I play games and it's so hard to win vs AK's and sometimes I have the easiest game of my life vs DMG's or Eagles. The ranking system is broken - thanks to people like you.

No, elo is based on wins/losses on team basis, not on performance. If the ranking system worked, you it would be impossible to have a high k/d at low ranks

it's not only based on win/loss, i got a rank up after loosing 3 games and then winning 2.....

It's based on the round win/loss too , the mvp and maybe something else.
*maybe a very small part of score or kda*
