CS2 and Counter-Strafe
Hello,

Do you agree that in cs2 counter strafing is not needed or it is just way to weak compare to cs:go?
What i can see and feel, unfortunately any less skilled player can kill a better one nowdays....

A simple example of what I mean.

Go to training map and test it out.
Run and shoot fullauto, stop without counterstrafing while still keeping fullauto. You will see something amazing, a recoil that while running was completely off target after stopping is 100% accurate. Without any reset or counterstrafe.

In CS:GO this did not happen. This is simply absurd. Counterstafe which was one of the main determinants of skill is now meaningless.... You can run, jump and shoot at the same time and it costs nothing.

So? Counterstrafing is nothing else but stopping faster and this was always the same. In CS2 it still works the same way, but the movement is completely different. Don´t forget that it´s overall the same game, but the engine makes everything different.

counterstrafe, it is a fact to stop faster but also to improve accuracy. It was something that distinguished weak from strong players. And you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ saying that the game has changed, well it has changed but it shouldn't have changed, it was supposed to be a new improved version not the crap it is now. If you don't understand this then please spare us your comments.

Standing still improves accuracy. (That´s how CS worked since 1.6) Counterstrafing is nothing else but a mechanic to stop faster to fire accurate shots faster. The game didn´t change, the engine changed. And I don´t care if it shouldn´t have changed, because it did and that´s something we have to deal with until valve changes or fixes this. If it doesn´t matter anymore, how come that you´re on a 19K premier rating? Should be easy going to 30K+ if you can hit anything while moving.

Well i noticed a change too. Cs2 seems to be amazing to spray & pray compared to CS GO, so crouch spraydown feels like meta, while counter strafing doesnt get you anywhere except at long ranges.
Same for holding angles, its gone if its not a surprise rat attack position.

Just like Mp9 feels completly broken compared to CS GO aswell

Of course we have to wait for valave to fix it and that's what this topic is all about. Every new topic on the forum increases the awareness of the community's problem. I don't expect valve to see this and take it to heart but I want people to spread this information.

I've been playing CS:GO/2 for over 3500h, I think I have some knowledge and I have the right to comment on problems with its operation.
I have reached the max for my age but that doesn't mean I don't have knowledge of how the game should work.
I won't tell you about my rankings so that you won't feel sad.
I think the counter-strafe is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ just like the hit reg.
Was findout that the hitreg take 1 tick to be registred after the click. Low your fps, you may miss a quick flick.

Counter-strafe somehow is not needed, the server think you did it right, but you actually did it later, and for the enemy you still walking while having accuracy, and this is worst if the difference between your ping and the enemy is too high.

I bet you there's something like this, cuz they blocked the interpolation commands, and lower ping now has a huge disavantage.

I fully agree...
And it's not that someone has an advantage by running and gunning, but that it shouldn't work that way.
