Common Reasons for a VAC Ban or Cooldown

• Third-Party Software and Cheats: Running external cheat programs, memory injectors, custom skin changers, or automation scripts while connected to a VAC-secured server will trigger an automatic permanent ban.
• System/Software Conflicts: Background overlays, modified game files, or incompatible applications can occasionally interfere with game memory and cause false flags or temporary VAC/competitive cooldowns.
• Irregular Gameplay Triggers (VACLive / VACNet): Automated AI tracking has sometimes flagged unusual, repetitive behavior—such as excessive wallbangs, smoke shots, or heavy reliance on specific weapons like the SSG 08 (Scout) on maps like Dust II—resulting in temporary bans or cooldowns while systems review the data.
