1024x768 or 800x600 for fps
Basically, what gives more fps? I got a 144hz monitor, have an average of 200fps both, haven't looked more into it. 1920x1080 gives me average of 140fps so..

Lower the resolution, more fps. You generally want to keep it at native resolution though.

Well I need 144 fps minimum because I have a 144hz monitor, so an average of 140-200fps is not enough I guess.

I used 640x480 in CS 1.6 for years. When CSGO came out I started playing on 800x600.

After a while I switched to 1024x768.

If you still get over 150 FPS on 1024x768 stretched I would use that. It is a little easier to see things at long range and it is a little easier to target people as the pixels look sharper.

1280x960 stretched could be an option too if you still get over 150 FPS.

Nah I use black-bars, stretched is so bad imo, enemies move too fast horizontally, because pixels are stretched etc.

wait thats ret*rded 140 to 200 fps is good just play native with fps_max 144 on but 1024x768 is a alright res but stuff will look blurry if youre not used to it

The more FPS, the smoother the input feels.

Why would you want to play on a smaller screen when you can utilize all of the screen?

For greater FPS.

Why do you want to play at such fps? After 60 fps your eye canno't notice any difference

Don't know if troll or not :D But if not then go look in youtube CS:GO 60hz vs 144hz

So still 800x600 gives more fps or is it the same as 1024x768?

The difference isn't considerable enough to say "140-200 isn't enough".
I'd take full hd with 200 fps over 800x600 with 300 any day.

But the whole 'models are bigger' thing is a placebo effect... Especially if you're letterboxed. Why would you cut off your FOV like that?
