edit: are you using HDMI, maybe that could be a issue.
But , if you have smooth gameplay without tearing , that means its enabled by default .
Just disable Vsync in game and in Nvidia , than restart PC .
All works fine for me .
I have the gsync indicator turned on and it doesn't show as active when playing cs2, so I think the setting showing as disabled is accurate.
All fine ?
"enable settings for the selected display model."
The only thing to adjust is to make Gsync fullscreen and windowed enabled.
For those who use AMD Freesync, make sure your screen is Gsync compatible because AMD certificates arent worth anything in this world, its like Valve saying they have a working Anticheat, its just the same.
Also got an LG Ultragear 240Hz OLED and Gsync works in CS2. Not sure if VRR is causing a conflict but that one is pretty much console only, so turn it off and update your screen firmware, if you didnt purchase a brand new from LG directly, it is most likely not up 2 date.
Edit:
I see now what you mean with the issue. Ive installed the latest driver aswell and it doesnt even say that the screen is Gsync compatible while it is, so this is a mess up on Nvidias side of things already.
Next one is that the screen updaterate of the Interface is too slow to show fluctuating Refreshrates on the OSD.
Also it looks like it does now require "VRR" to be activated at the OSD in order to even see Gsync in the controlpanel.
Either way Gsync in CS2 menue stays greyed out but it doesnt matter.
To test Gsync, use the remotecontrol and hit the bottom left button with the "1" on it and limit framerates to lets say 75FPS and check if the screen shows that Hz number on the OSD aswell.
What confuses me is that Valve says to activate Vsync aswell, i can feel a muddy mousemovement like having extra dirt on the pad doing so and ive never noticed the slightest benefit of Nvidia Reflex at all apart from losing performance.
Like the majority of delay is anyways related to DirectX, never was an issue before Dx10, like older titles did never require sth like that and if the engine is coded properly for inputs first and graphics later, then it shouldnt be required anyways.
Thanks for this. It seems to work as I enabled monitor refresh rate hz to show in one corner and fps for cs2 thru steam on the other and they seem to almost perfectly match up. That cs2 gsync box is just bugged, ignore it guys!
So basicly use Vsync as a FPS Limiter, instead of using the ingame FPS limit, because the FPS Limiter of CS2 causes massive framehitching and spikes, its a useless option in this title that only messes up the entire games smoothness.
And VRR has to be turned on in that screen aswell, its just also not properly described.
