Is buying a CSGO knife worth the cost?

As many will say, yes, it is.
A knife in CSGO is the big daddy of the skin and trading market, as people who own knives are either very lucky, or just nigerian princes. But is owning a knife really worth it?

Cosmetic wise, it's nice to not always see the same blade everytime, but when you own a knife for long enough you'll practically see that same blade, pattern and animation each time.

The knives in CSGO, next to AWP and M4A4/M4A1S/AK47 skins can rake the most money, if you unbox one you can re-sell it for normally 30 to almost 500-600 to maybe 5000 USD. With 40 dollar knives you can buy two 20 dollar good gun skins or a ton of decent looking cheap ones, and the amount goes on the amount you sell your knife for.

But I feel like, owning a knife is just pointless.

I don't think you shouldn't buy one, go ahead, it's your choice, but hear me out,
You use your firearms WAY more than you use your knives in CSGO, infact you might just shoot someone rather than stab them when behind them, knives are simply crown jewels of inventories and or more cosmetic looking ways of humiliating someone by stabbing them while in game.

If you're gonna buy a knife, Flip Knives and Falchion Knifes, and heck Gut Knives are the cheaper, can look decent at cheap prices and most commonly owned. Huntsman Knives can be cheap too, but if you want to own a knife those are the ones to go for.

Other than that, my knive is 42 dollars at the max, please dont hurt me

You could buy alot of old good games or a really expensive game for the same price as a knife, lol

I know this post is well way before I started playing csgo, but I agree with you.

After owning 7 knives 6 of which I won by gambling and then lost them, it feels pointless, they just add value to your inventory and for some show off.

I only bought one of those knives for half its price(Bayonet Slaughter) and even that I feel somehow stupid.

List of Knives that I owned:

Karambit slaughter
Huntsman night
Bayonet slaughter
Bowie Marble fade
M9 Bayonet Fade
Falchion knife stained
Flip knife boreal forest

So what you understood from what I said I'm bragging... lol this why I always say that people below 80-IQ should be banned, its why this community is seen as the dumbest of all communities.

Also if your low IQ brain can't read well, I did say this thread was made way before I even started playing this game, I've just come across it and wanted to share my experience.
