I got banned because my computer crashed
Is there any possible way to contact valve or steam to get this stopped. Because it's their fault their program crashed my computer, so why am I getting a ban when I didn't leave?

It wont be removed. After you press accept you get a penalty if you leave the game. It doesnt matter what happened.

I don't see why you would get banned from quitting in the first place.

Competitive Cooldowns

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's competitive mode has a number of automated measures in place to ensure that every game is enjoyable for all players. A competitive cooldown can be issued for any of the following reasons:

  • As a new player, competitive wins will continue to cause a cooldown until you have completed enough games to calibrate your skill group.
  • Abandoning a game
  • Attacking teammates / teamkilling
  • AFKing or otherwise not participating in a game that you have joined
  • Abusing the kick system

You can find out more about this system here

Note: A matchmaking cooldown will be issued regardless of whether or not an infraction was intentional.

Like the first responder said, once you click the "Accept" button you agree to the terms and conditions of competitive matchamaking. You can find the information in my post. Good luck!:whitesheep:

This happened right as I hit accept. My whole computer lagged even skype. So my team was still in warmup. But I asked my teammates as I was queued with them and they said I got the ban as soon as I shut my pc off. So I got the ban right then and there? Doesn't make sense to me, they didn't give me three minutes to reload it.

You won't get it removed, I got banned on my rankup game today because midway VAC just decided to not work and therefore not let me play, you just gotta accept your cooldowns

Not only did I not get me 3 minutes to rejoin but it's their programs fault for freezing my computer.
If you didn't stack it up, its just 30 minuted so chill out

new players really should be required to learn the rules and how the cooldown system works before they play comp mode

make it part of a training course or something that you have to complete before you are able to play comp mode and make them sign off on it with a digital signature

all these threads by new players crying about cooldown bans could be avoided if they were forced to learn the rules because it doesnt seem like they are gonna do it on their own

here is link to all the info you should have learned before you played the first time

It's obviously not their fault because it hasn't happened to anyone else. Valve aren't to blame if you have other programs on your computer crashing/interferring with Steam/ CS:GO

We help people that actually need help. You're just here crying saying it was valves fault when you were the one with the crappy pc.
