Can somebody explain to me the differences in the Case hardened AK's?
I want to buy one, but I don't want to pay extra for what essentially looks all the same to me. Looking at the stat-trak factory new one, and a well-worn one, they look the same to me. Somebody mentioned the better condition skins have more blue tinit or something?

Better conditions will have more of the skin in it, if you purchase something like well worn instead of factory-new you will see that some of the skin is smudged off so it will look all colourful but then one side will look like the skin from a plain ak47

I am going to tell you right now that if you do not understand the differences between the case hardened patterns DO NOT buy one. Wait till you become a little more knowledgable before getting a case hardened.

Untrue, it's just a different brightness color pattern. Factory new will look brighter than a battle scarred one.

I mean I'm inspecting them in game and I didn't see that much of a difference between a factory new one and a well-worn one. I guess I'll just have to look at more of them. If you see a listing ~$20 or less that'd you'd recommend buying I'd appreciate if you shared it with me.

Put all your settings to high, then inspect any battle scarred and any factory new. You will see that one is brighter than the other. That's your difference.

Casehardened Has the chance to make the weapons paintjob all blue.. or gold ect... this is what makes these skins more valuable... The proportion of colour distribution... example.. i want a case hardened huntsman knife with 100% blue on play side... but thats going to cost me a small child.. if the colours are very mixed.. its worth min price

I mean on my screen at least I see a brightness difference when I look at the two skins in the different conditions. It's always been this way so I assumed it was this way for everyone. I have a well worn and it's not damaged on any side, but I just didn't like how bright a factory new or minimal wear was. I liked the well worn color intensity so I got that.

I don't get why blue is so damn popular. To shell out 400$ for a digital knife because It's blue is Absurd.

Honestly I'm not concerned with how special it is, I just want one that looks not busted and is not too expensive as far as this digital crap goes

As long as your shaders are at least set to high, you can see them correctly.

Factory new and battle scarred have no difference other than brightness (factory shines more in bright light, and the metal will darken as the condition worsens.

None of them will look "busted" since the skin is just colored metal and not a paint job.

Turn your shaders on, you'll see a difference.

If you play on high shaders, there's a huge difference. If you play with low shaders, there's not much of a difference.

Personally, I think CH looks terrible on low shaders.

FN ones are shinier and look cleaner than the more worn ones. Stained is much the same way.
