My rank dropped/disappeared

Since the update of 4th of June: When a player has been banned for cheating (via VAC or Overwatch), all Skill Group adjustments from that player's recent wins will be reverted for their partied teammates as well as their opponents.

Q. What is a Skill Group?

A. Like an Elo rating in Chess, the CS:GO competitive Skill Groups predict how well players will perform when playing against other players. Two equally skilled teams should, on average, win an equal number of matches when competing against each other.

after many years of deciphering your post, my best guess is that you didn't play competitive matchmaking for a month and your rank disappeared. You can easily get it back by winning a single competitive game though.

I don't know if this is the right discussion or not but anyway, does anyhone know why I keep getting deranked when I have a good couple of games? I don't understand really..

does it take a month to remove your rank?

it takes a month of inactivity (from competitive play) to have the rank disappear. The rank, however, is still there - it's just that the rank is no longer displayed. One win will be enough to get it back though.

Yes but its not normaly thet im MG2 ANd play vs Suprem wit 2 silver 1 players and thets are smurfs .... cant understand this logic

so ive read up a little. Yesterday i played a game where we went 14-12. as soon as the cheater on the opposite team realised they may lose. he toggled on a blatent aimbot. making them win 16-14. Now if this person gets vac banned/overwatch banned, this game/match will be deleted? overturned? just looking for an explanation what may happen.

not too sure, going to have to ask a valve representative for a definite answer

my guess is nobody from valve nobody really knows when he started cheating so they would just wipe the entire match, resetting your progress towards your next rank/derank. it makes much more sense to just wipe the matches that he cheated in, but vac can only do so well and it's anyone's guess as to whether or not they know exactly which rounds he cheated in.

I got a message today that in my previous competitiv matches in my team was a player that used hacks during the match and my rank on competitiv was reseted and i needed to play one more competitiv match to get a rank.I played the match and won and from gold nova master i was put in gold nova 2.I need some help!THX anyway.

Isn't my fault that i had a cheater in my team why should i get punished for his actions.

Because likelyhood is he altered your rank.
