Help to fix potato aim?
Hello there. I've re-startedp laying CSGO this week and i've found myself with a problem that haunts me since I started playing FPS games: I have potato aim, and once I find myself unable to accurately shoot someone hwen I had the chance to kill them, my mood goes down and I become self-destructive, complaining in the game's chat, which has provoked many votekicks directed to me, or being shunned by players who are better than me. Upon this situation (of years with bad aim, even if I practiced extensively for a period before stopping to play), what does the community recommends me to do?

Practice. Then practice more.

First of all you must learn to control your emotions. Maybe the problem is with your PC (what are your specs?). If not, and you get a playable framerate at a fine resolution, then maybe the problem is YOU, and here is from were I feel to say to you "git gud".
Try offline with bots and online DM, it helped me a lot. You know that weapons have all different spray patterns and things like that? Try learning them, but keep at mind that this will take some time (a lot actually), and you mustn't be in a fuss, keep calm and enjoy hte game.
You can also try some 1v1 matches with friends. It helps a lot, also, to watch the pros playing.
Remember, tho, that videogames are made to be enjoyed. You don't have to get mad by only missing some shots. Remember that life is more than just CS:GO, and there are a lot of wonderful things to experience, so sometimes is even normal to get a breake from things we first thought we loved. If you'll get annoyed by CS:GO (maybe not, tho) it's totally normal. You won't have to force yourself palying the game, and you'll eventually return to it at the correct time.

A polite way of telling "git gud".

Perhaps that's where I have been making a mistake in years and years of gaming. I may practice and suceed, but when I get on a real situation, I fail. I avoid going to competitive matches because I don't want to be a burden for anyone (I hate being the last person in the team, it makes my heart beat hard!). Even on casual matches I don't do well (if anything, I kill three or four more than i've died? My K/D ratio is nearly 1, i've always been like that).

I don't know if my problem is with the spray pattern. I have slow reflexes, i've tried being a sniper before. And the problem is totally me. I run CSGO smoothly. (R7 370, 12gb ram, processor AMD FX 6300)

go into community servers like 1v1, retake, or 5v5 servers. it'll give you the practice on real players instead of bots. you get movements like players, but with nothing hurting you.

play and practice on prefire maps... i practice every day for a moment before playing MM, faceit or in esea. helps alot remember spots peek right and give tiny warm up.

Make Valve bring out a performance update once in a while, make them fix the bugged mouse input that has been there for years, make them fix the hit registry... No, its not our aim. Compare your aim precision of flicking in CSGO to your aim precision in for EG Black Squad/Paladins/Realm Royale/Overwatch/any other actually and you will know what i mean.

Try this map:

you will see if your mouse sensitivity is right or not; adjust accordingly ingame.
also try some fun stuff. rotating targets, 4 hits needed to kill, 2secs time, no delay, size 16. will teach you how to burst fire.

so I'm trying this map. With my old sensitivity I had a 40% hit. I increased my sensitivity to 4.5 and I had a 80% accuracy, with the Galil (targets to the standard the map gives)

What does this mean?

your aim gets better.. obviously

o.O 4.5? what's your mouse dpi? or your windows mouse setting is really low? enhance pointer precision on (majority prefers it off)?

The map is just good to "unwrench" the wrist :P set to 100 targets, heats your wrist up abit.
And you can always try to lower the target time. Take a look at yt, you might find some other guys playing this or the old version of this map.
Also there is a map called 'aim botz', pretty famous. look up scream at twitch.
ect blabla *2cents

Apparently, 800dpi. It's a microsoft standard mouse, model 1113.
I'll set it to 100 targets and tell you what was my accuracy.

Ah, before I forgrt, try with a low senstivity. It helps a lot.

I've been trying this map the fellow recommended, and i've been having a 75-80% with my mouse sensitivity above 4.68. I have it now at 5.01, and I got a 75% accuracy wituh a 0.5 delay and a 0.75 duration of target.
The only thing to nail it without fixing your aim is a light speed internet.
