Please make post about the leak here. I will add to this post if I hear anything.

Q: Was this really leaked?

A: I don't know. I made this to keep all the post under wraps and for a central place information can be posted as it is available.

Update - Yes, may have been leaked. Don't want to say my self for sure, until Valve has confirmed though.

Official response:

We have reviewed the leaked code and believe it to be a reposting of a limited CS:GO engine code depot released to partners in late 2017, and originally leaked in 2018. From this review, we have not found any reason for players to be alarmed or avoid the current builds.

As always, playing on the official servers is recommended for greatest security.

We will continue to investigate the situation and will update news outlets and players if we find anything to prove otherwise. In the meantime, if anyone has more information about the leak, the Valve security page (next tweet) describes how best to report that information.

Q: Do I have to make my profile private?

A: ... not unless you want to. Source code would have nothing to do with your account and is strictly game related.

Q: What about the video/images of people in TF2 gettin hacked?

A: Fake. Notice each video has a different way of showing how they were "hacked".

Valorant wont kill csgo, Csgo will still be a strong game like it is right now what valorant do for the csgo its that if valve just stop doing nothing the csgo commction might go down a bit but the game will never kill csgo just a good cooperation

They only Saw a 10 line cod which one of those lines says "source 2" or a youtuber saying source 2 and those ppl now think this Game Will be fully ported to source 2 when valve said on ama that they only add some features

Shroud, Dr disrespect, pokiman, many big YouTubers like bananagamig and more.

Btw it's now how the game looks that's make a game it's how it's played ppl need to learn that dosent need to be high end graphics, btw csgo look even worst then valorant.

Will the code leak affect the in game economy of either csgo/tf2?

Say, will people be able to find some bug to profit off, like we saw in tf2 100% unusual unbox chance? (Or anything along these lines)
