Open 100 operation breakout cases or buy a butterfly knife?
I heard that theres only like 0.8% to get a knife in a 100 cases opening. So, this decision is very hard to make. Help!!:csgox::csgogun::csgoglobe::csgob::csgogun::steamfacepalm:

If you have a dice you have a 1 in 6 chance to roll a 6, if you have 1000 die, you still only have a 1-6 chance to roll a six every single time.
I'm referring to the 3rd poster who said 55% chance to get a knife with 100 cases (once again ignoring the actually numbers). The statistics do not change no matter how many cases you open
Ah yeah, the chance per case always stays the same

Don't open cases. Buy a knife.

Don’t buy either
Ur wasting ur money
If it’s for bragging rights, ur happiness will only be short lived
And 100 cases is completely RNG
You could get 1 knife, 100 knives (unrealistic), or get a complete arrays of blues in your inventory
Just don’t

Welp, if you do the math [1-(0.992^100)], there's about a 55% chance of getting a knife in 100 cases. Then, there's a good chance that even if you get a knife, it will be worth less than the 250 dollars in cases you opened. So I would deff say buy it directly
$GME Bagholder Jun 24, 2018 @ 10:29pm
Oh wait, I'm dumb. I thought you meant 0.8% chance per case. If its 0.8 per 100 cases, then deff not.

Thanks guys! I will just leave my money alone😂😂

The chance of getting a knife in one case is the same change is if it were 1000. The chance does not increase because there is more cases. Each is an independant event

the stats arent exact and the cases are exactly as random as they are for the stats to be 100% sure you have to open the same case over and over again

This kind of people is why countries start working against lootbox systems. Because your greed for items is so big you think you're gonna be like that youtuber you saw unbox 5 knives in a row (after editing all the failed attempts out)

That still won't give you an accurate idea of the chances.
You can be lucky and get 20 knives when opening 100 cases or you can get nothing at all.
That doesn't mean the chances change.

well the stats is all im saying is that the stats are measured by looking at youtubers not by opening 10000 cases and looking at the stats per person the stats where measured by an estimate not precise so the stats are abit of a bad measurement

yes but the stats you pull the numbers from are from a reddit post that took all cases that youtubers opend and used them in the equation ^^
