Hi I am a fairly new player with 290+ hours. I just got my first rank when I got the 10 wins and I got GN3. I once dropped 30 frags on one of my games. am I mediocre or decent? thank you....

for 290 hours, nova 3, is alright... I've seen much worse ranks in more hours played or atleast recorded onto profile.

Silver: mostly just rush/troll/useless or smurfs (no sense)
GN: okey reactions/plays but nothing that relies on team/IQ sense plays

About DMG is when sense comes in (stronger team plays, tactical smokes, timings) not just purely rely on skill (raw reaction) but rather catch enemy off guard.

In short: up to DMG is okey to get as your rank after the first 10 wins.

Ranks are pretty much meaningless because of how bad the MM system is so it's best not to put any stock into rank indicating skill level. You can have utter bots luckily landing MG1 while DMG level players being unlucky in matchmaking and landing Silver rank.
