Myth: VAC does not work. Valve doesn't do anything against cheaters.

Reality: The simple fact is, for all intents and purposes VAC does work. Even community measured metrics like steamdb[steamdb.info] (outdated) and steamid[steamid.uk] (delayed) show that, relative to the growth of Steam and the popular games, so have the amount of cheat bans. The real number is likely even bigger.

No company has been able to develop anticheat that catches all cheaters, valve put serious effort to stop it, the thing is they dont add any random crap that people request. They know what will work and what won't.
Thats why we got VACNet, and valve listens more to playernumbers than money, they get 10x more daily from Steam Store than whatever they get from CSGO or other games

CSGO is nr1 played game on Steam so game should get more affection from Valve

Valve needs to admit they can't control the cheats, and redesign their anticheat, otherwise the game will end up filled with cheaters or skin traders.

sry to say that but i play this game from beginning and the cheater was from beginning but thats true since f2p it have much more but for me change nothing i have in every match minimum of 3 or 4 cheaters in my team and in enemyteam if u are no lemming and have eyes u can see that but the most in this forum are cheaters 2 and want make u angry without playing with them they say it have no cheaters or u have bad tf or u are bad thats a typical cheateranswer in this forum i stop anyway play this game because valve are no gamers anymore they just looking for the money

No I havent used it, if I needed to change my HWID I would just open command prompt or registry editor and would do it myself, but I can assure you that those programs work.

So even you use software to change it virtual there should be a good change to find the original id somewhere on a reboot.
Simple is sometimes better.

Also if you change to many hardware Id you might going to have an issue with the operating system if it is a OEM version.
All sytem have a unique Id based on the components so it is not like if you get a HWID banned GPU and using that in you sytem then you will be banned too.
No it will generate a new HWID that is unique and haven't been used before.
So if any innocent people will be hit by this it should be the family members of a cheater.
Then they can talk about not using cheats while waiting to be able to use the system for csgo again.
Maybe Valve should leave a hidden Identification files that let them know the system have been used before :D (That is proberly not legal)

I never said this is perfect or that if will hit all, but if there is a chance to get just some of them, why should we not do it then?

Your whole idea revolves around getting access to easily bypassable thing that barely anyone uses in anticheat field due to how bad it is.

Cheaters are cheaters but they have 2 braincells to connect and can figure out how to use google. I would rather have Valve spend their time on something that can actually prevent cheating, like VACNet rather than adding useless barriers because less than 1% of cheaters might give up

You're just guessing at an estimated (%) It might as well be 20% you don't know and nobody knows before testing it.
They can try starting a test trial and see how it goes.
If it has no effect, they can always shut it down again.

Beside you said you don't know if a bypass works.
I look at some of it and I found some comments that claim it dosn't work for them.
So there is some ekstra %

Anyone with 1 braincell can see there is a big hole in the Vac Net that just let the cheaters make a new account and cheat forever for a small amount every third month.
There are 7 million proof of that alone from jan to okt 2019

So if it can stop just 33% more or less and perhaps stopping them from using cheat in the future with a bad experience when using cheat, then HWID should definitely be added.

Hi, someone who volunteers IT work for a friend who runs an internet cafe. And as someone who routinely trades in PC parts (new and used). I can say HWID bans are more detrimental to beneficial. I'm sorry you're so poorly informed.

If you are an owner of an internet cafe you must contact Valve and request the ban removed.
Just like they have to do now with Vac bans.
Buying parts with not generate the same HWID so therefore that system will not be banned.
If you're buying a complete system that is HWID banned it will be removed after 3 months.
That is not more different than buying a used car.
That will just be a risk people will have to take when buying used things.
New hardware will not be effected.

How is doing overwatches supposed to prove anything. There are more cheaters in the overwatch pool because of vacnet, not an increase in cheaters.
