Why are AK-47 skins so expensive?

Most of them are extremely ugly, yet they cost 2 euros and more.

because the ak is one of the most used guns ingame. so there is a high demand for ak-skins.

Factory new is rare because its float starts from 0.06, and ends with 0.8, ~0.8% to be fn, and safari mesh is nice ak with any float better than 0.2

Any skins on a more desirable weapon will be more expensive just look at awp skins compared to m249 skins

Ak is the most used weapon in the game thus people wanna have a skin for it. And skins are awesome. Frontside misty, redline, elite build, aquamarine revenge, ... so many nice skins.
