DLC doesn't scale?
Well that makes them boring when they're all level 15, with Knoxx being 35.
I'm already 20+ and all I've done so far on this file is arid badlands and sledge.

They do scale to certain points, but I'm unsure on the details of the mechanics. I did everything in the base game and reached level 37, then I started Zombie Island and all the quests were level 34.

Follow this order when playing BL1:
- Finish the main game, you'll be around lv30-33
- Do Moxxi's DLC on playthrough 1, not on 2 even if you finished the game. You'll earn one skill point
- (Optional) Do now DLC 4 (playthrough 1), Tartarus and only the main mission, rush through it to obtain a skill point.
- Finish the main game a second time, you'll be around lv50-52
- DLC2 again, Moxxi time for thew second skill point
- DLC3, go to TBone (playthrough 2) and do everything including crawmerax if possible. If you complete the arena, you should be around lv63. The max level of this DLC without being completed is 51, when finished the Arena opens, they'll be lv61~.
- Do now on Playthrough 2 the DLC4 Tartarus again, complete everything because if you have done DLC3 now the enemies scale with you as they should, including loot.
- If you skipped the optional one, now it's the time. Do again DLC4 on playthrough 1, rush it to obtain that skillpoint
- Finally, do DLC1 because it actually scales with player level without any requirements unlike the previous ones that requires 3 to be completed.

What do you have left? Everything now scales with you and should be max level or even beyond, this is what's called playthrough 2.5:

- Marcus in DLC3 will give you the Knoxx armory mission again two times, you can exploit this and make it infinite if you dont activate the timer, this will help you test all the weapons in the game at lv68 (Max is 69).
- Crawmeras in DLC3 is what has the highest chance of Pearls to drop, so you may farm him for the best weapons in the game.
- Moxxi's DLC always scales with the player, like the first DLC, so you can do for fun the arenas but the loot is garbage.

The DLC scales to your level+2 once you complete Playthrough 2 of the main story. If you've yet to complete the 2nd playthrough than the DLC will scale up to around level 30 (except General Knoxx which has higher scaling)?

Finished the main game on playthough 2, started Zombie DLC, seemed to scale to my level, then started Genertal Knoxx dlc, and i am 10 levels about all the quests, very strange.

General Knoxx is for some reason the only exception, I forgot about that until playing it again. It has it's own separate scaling, you have to complete the main storyline for that DLC for it to start scaling, it's weird and a little annoying.

Why do you need to do rushes for a skill point in P2? It's not like the game isn't generous if your doing a good build.

Moxxi is always your level, no matter what

Ned and Clappie scale with the MQ in PT1. I.e b4 you turn in the mine key mission (in arid badlands) it's 10. After that it's 15 till you rescue lucky. After that it's ~20 till you turn in the "Meet Tannis" misson. Then 25 and so on.
In PT2 both are fixed.
Cause the giftshop also scales with the MQ no matter when you finish the DLC it's very viable to do Clappie asap.
Knoxx has its only scaling, in both PT's it's fixed until you finish the DLC then it scales
