Impossible to play in coop

A friend and I would like to play together at Borderlands GOTY enhanced, but in the lobby impossible to join, we play by steam, and steam does not detect that we play the game.
Help please

I had a similar experience with one of my friends, it appeared that one of us played Borderlands GOTY while the other was playing Borderlands GOTY Enhanced, make sure you both are playing the same game

Both of you appear online? Maybe one of you has set invisible status?

Did you select “Invite Friend” and from your Steam friends list, click “Invite”?

That’s the only way I’ve been able to get it to work. Oh and make sure to perform the Coop lag patch. It worked for me however several others claimed it wasn’t helpful

Nope, we are both online, i see my friend is connect but the game is not recognized when it plays

Yes but I see he invited me but there is no option to join him
Where can I find this patch?

Open your Steam overlay (shift+tab) and click the huge “Play Game” (“Accept Invite”) whatever it says, button.

As far as the lag fix, check the guides section for “lag fix”
