Need help to get Multiplayer working
My husband and I both have Borderlands Enhanced Edition and we'd like to play co-op together, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the multiplayer work. I've tried inviting him from the lobby (he gets a steam chat message from me saying I've invited him) and from inside a started game (ditto, he gets the same text message) but I can't see what to do to get his character into my game. I even tried Match Browser when my game was running, but no games came up.

I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I have no idea what. Please help!

Yeah, BL GOTY doesn’t work as easy as BL2. How my wife & I do it is use the Steam overlay, friend list, click invite. Then the other person opens Steam overlay and there is a large “Play game” button.

While playing with some other friends they told me you can also use the overlay and from a friend, expand it and you will see a join game under BL GOTY

Thank you so much! Sending the invite through the Steam overlay, rather than via the in-game Invite Friends button, did the trick and the Play Game button appeared.

Could you play normally after that? Connection was really crappy when I tried playing co-op, it was a huge step back.

Glad to help & yeah! Playing w/spouse +1000 😎 Oh and do make sure to disable voice chat as it uses too much bandwidth. @Raxyz perhaps that’s what you experienced was the voice chat bug? The host should most definitely try this fix but it can’t hurt for all players to perform the patch, link below
