[Nation] MA Pallasus, Rule of the Strategoi
Hello everybody, this is my first nation mod that I feel is good enough to be made public!

Pallasus, Rule of the Strategoi

Pallasus is a nation derived from Helotes, Neodamodes and Perioeci that flee from Mekone in the twilight of the war against the gods. Fleeing from the wrath of the Gigantes, the humans make their way into the mountains, and after years of wandering find themselves at the base of a great mountain: Parnithia. It's there that they meet the Cecropoi - half-men, half-serpent (in the Dominions sense, the 4-legged reptiles that Sauromatia and Pythium use). The Humans and Cecropoi come to an arrangement in which the Cecropoi would help them in exchange for the secrets of metalworking. The humans agree and the two races begin construction of a city nestled in the foothills of Mount Parnithia. This city became known as Pallasus, and would be shaped by and rebel against their former giant oppressors. Much like Mekone, Pallasus is focused on martial training. In fact, there is no ruling nobility in Pallasus, but instead the city is ruled by the officer corps., with the top ranking Strategoi as its heads of government. However unlike the Gigantes who are forever bitter with the gods, Pallasus worships them freely, and also puts emphasis on those exceptional individuals who prove themselves in combat by granting them semi-divine and exalted status.

Strengths: Most Pallasian commanders and troops can be promoted with enough experience and eventually become sacred. Pallasus also has cheap sacreds in the form of Athletes, who are slightly better in stats to the baseline human units, but wield no armor and only have their discus and their bodies as weapons. The Cecropoi are also pretty powerful in their own right, working as the cavalry for Pallasus. Cecropoi Sages also can heal 3 afflictions a turn, which makes them helpful for keeping your soldiers alive long enough to become sacred.

Weaknesses: Pallasus has very narrow paths for their human mages. The Cecropoi Sage has high nature magic and can have astral, water or air magic, but they are slow to recruit and expensive gold-wise. The human troops are indie-level in the beginning, and they take some time to get really powerful. In addition, heavy blesses usually mean tanked scales or a dormant/imprisoned pretender, which means that you'll have to sacrifice something at pretender creation for your bless strategy.

Along with a new nation, I've also created a new pretender, the Patron of the Scaled Ones. He's available to not only Pallasus, but also Sauromatia, MA and LA Pythium and all three ages of C'Tis!
